TL;DR The Switch has tons of great games and is long-lasting without being too pricey, but it is it a little weak without any accessories... accessories are in general the main drawback, being pretty overpriced and often very fragile and flimsy.
Hey everybody! I'm Ren. Today I'm reviewing the Nintendo Switch. I got mine pretty recently and decided it would be good to figure out if it was worth buying. If you have a different modern console, is it worth the Switch? ( :\ ) Are the games good enough to deserve paying for the console? Are the controllers all that Nintendo said they would be? Are the accessories overpriced? How durable is the console? What about the specs? Will the Switch be irrelevant soon? All these and more will be answered below. So enjoy! The Nintendo Switch was released in America on March 3, 2017 with 5 physical games and four downloadable games, most notably the "tech demo" 1-2-Switch and the much-awaited Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I say tech demo in quotations because, although most view this game to be no more than one, and Nintendo originally created 1-2-Switch as a tech demo, they ended up releasing the game as... well, just what I said. A complete game. Breath of the Wild, which was released on the WiiU as well, was a huge hit, and sold really well...

TL;DR Super Mario Odyssey is an amazing game with great content on a beautiful platform that fits it perfectly. However, it and the platform can be costly.
*There is a spoiler in this article, I'll give you a chance to skip past it!* Hey everybody! I'm Ren. Today I'm reviewing Super Mario Odyssey. Man! This game has it all. In my opinion, it is the best 3-D Mario game and one of the best of all time. While it does have its downsides (MOTION CONTROLS! NO!), the good far outweighs the bad. Overall, I'd give it a 10/10 rating! In this review, I'm going to look over the platform it was on, controls, pricing, gameplay, plotline, ending, longevity of the playthrough, homage/references to other games, and creativity....I'll take a look at those criteria after I give some Pros and Cons. Pros:
First, I'll talk about the platform... ...TL;DR Super Mario Bros. is a great game, well-done for its time, and only somewhat repetitive.
Hey everybody! I'm Ren. Today I'm reviewing Super Mario Bros. today. Released in 1985, Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES) has been a hit for over 30 years with only small gaps of decreased interest. I'd give this game a 9.5/10 for overall gameplay (for its time), and an 8.5/10 for ease and play-ability. I highly recommend playing the game. If you want to hear more about SMB, check out my mini-crash-course under the Throwback Thursdays tab. Also, check there for a detailed explanation of speedrunning and my experiences playing it! I will save the NES as a whole for a potential *hint* future review, but I will briefly mention its controls, ease of access, and price. For $100... |
AboutHere I review games to see if they really are worth the time and money while I go into great depth about the game. Though I give my opinions, I also provide fact-based evidence to support both sides to a claim. You may also occasionally see a console or controller on here, if it deserves a full review. Archives |
